There are many things you need to know about a place to feel at home. Finding the things that make you feel most at home is helpful when becoming part of a community. Each person relates home in different ways. Location is important, some people favor cities while others favor smaller towns. Different community services, school systems, religious involvement, neighborhoods, and crime rates are all important for choosing where to live. Other attributes may include, restaurants, shopping, recreation, and community involvement.
Tricia and I feel that shopping, location, school systems, and extracurricular activities are important to have in a community. Having a friendly environment with a lot of community involvement are the resources that we would like to have to feel at home.
Hi Tricia and Kim,
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you that knowledge of a place before arriving helps greatly in improving your overall experience. I'm sure you did a lot of research before you both came to OU, and chose it because it was the best fit for you, and the best fit to make it your new home.
Thanks for the interesting post!
